Notes: We were sitting against the bulkhead on a flight back from Dallas. The passenger in front of Esther reclined his seat and nearly strangled her. In revenge, she looked over his shoulder and read his paper. There it was! The story about how the drought in the Southwest was dropping the level of Lake Powell and uncovering some of the rock formations. We watched the water level into late winter and booked a room at Bullfrog Marina on the lake. We rented a boat and made our way there. The level of the lake was 3560 feet when this picture was taken.
