Monument Valley Starlight

Location:  Monument Valley, located in the southeastern part of Utah. It is northeast of Kayenta, AZ and southwest of Mexican Hat Utah.

Find the location: Copy the coordinates below. Open Google Earth, paste the coordinates into "Fly To" and click on the magnifying glass.

Equipment: EOS 5D Mark II with 24-105 lens with polarizer. ISO 12,800, f4.0 for 30 seconds.

Notes: This was taken from the deck of our room at The View Hotel around 7:30 PM. The bright white object in the upper right quadrant of the picture is Jupiter. The Pleiades star cluster can be seen to the left of center. Well, that's what Esther told me. You couldn't prove it by me, I've never been there.
