Tent Rocks (Kasha-Katuwe)

Location:  Between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico off Interstate 25. See the link below.

Find the location: Copy the coordinates below. Open Google Earth, paste the coordinates into "Fly To" and click on the magnifying glass.

35° 40' 25.82" N
106° 25' 13.48" W

Equipment: Canon D30 with 28-105 lens and polarizer. Shot at 1/125 and f 6.7 at ISO 100.

Digital imaging/manipulation:  Slightly decreased exposure.

Notes: About 90 minutes from Santa Fe and a little longer from Albuquerque, it's in a very pretty area with a lot of things to do. Oh, don't forget this part... When you take the trail into the tent rocks you may be tempted to leave but you should continue on the road that brought you there. Beyond that point is an overlook that gives you a great view of the area. You realize you have seen only a very few of the "tent rocks." There appear to be hundreds. This was shot about mid day. There should be better lighting for this view but we didn't get it.
