Zion - Virgin Narrows

Location: Zion National Park, Southwestern Utah about 23 miles east of Hurricane, UT.

Find the location: Copy the coordinates below. Open Google Earth, paste the coordinates into "Fly To" and click on the magnifying glass.

Equipment:  Hasselblad C501 with 50 mm lens and polarizing filter.  Velvia transparency film, ISO 20.

Digital imaging/manipulation:  Image scanned with Minolta Dimage San Multi PRO at 4800 dpi.  Emulsion artifact removed.

Notes: Virgin Narrows hike is in the river and is beautiful. Wear river runner shoes, some go barefoot. Make sure there are no storms predicted in the area, people have died here in flash floods. Package equipment to protect from a spill in the water. The hike itself is pretty easy and really fun.
