Many Glacier Panorama 9-15-11

Location: Glacier National Park in Montana. If you enter from the Kalispell area, this lodge is in the northeastern part of the park. You traverse the park via Going-to-the-Sun Road then turn north. You then head back west on Many Glacier Road. They'll give you a map at the gate. Its cross-the border counterpart is Waterton National Park.

Find the location: Copy the coordinates below. Open Google Earth, paste the coordinates into "Fly To" and click on the magnifying glass.

Equipment:  Canon EOS 5D with 28-105 (set at 50 mm) with polarizing filter, mounted on Gigapan Epic Pro.

Digital imaging/manipulation:  21 stitched images using Gigapan software, slight exposure shift in Photoshop CS5.

Notes: This is what you see when you stand on the back deck of Many Glacier Lodge. There are a number of very nice accomodations throughout the park including several historic lodges. This was shot at 7:21 MST a few days after Many Glacier Hotel had closed.
