Sea Stacks - Oregon Coast

Location: Oregon Coast. South of Astoria, OR about 55-60 miles down the Pacific coast is Oceanside OR where this was taken.

Equipment:  Hasselblad C501 with 50 mm lens and polarizing filter.  Velvia transparency film, ISO 50.

Digital imaging/manipulation:  Image scanned with Minolta Dimage San Multi PRO at 4800 dpi.  Emulsion artifact removed.

Notes: Even looking at the picture and knowing left is west, I'm not sure whether this was taken morning or evening. I'm inclined to say the latter. At any rate, from Astoria to Coos Bay there are plenty of these to see. It's a great trip down Highway 101. I think over the years we've gone from northern Washington to San Diego and the photographic opportunities are endless.
