Joshua Tree NP Overlook

Location: Joshua Tree National Park east of Palm Springs, California. Enter off Interstate 10.

Find the location: Copy the coordinates below. Open Google Earth, paste the coordinates into "Fly To" and click on the magnifying glass.

Equipment: EOS 1, 28-85 lens with polarizer. Velvia ISO 50 transparency film.

Digital imaging/manipulation:  Image scanned with Minolta Dimage Scan Multi PRO at 4800 dpi.  Emulsion artifact removed.

Notes: A newer addition to the National Park System. This park has easy access and a lot of space. Joshua trees bloom in spring producing 8-12 inch white pine cone-shaped blossoms. Check on the time of bloom, but I think it's early April.
