Paria Panorama

Location:  Kaiparowits Plateau about 40 miles west of Page, AZ off Highway 89. It is another 10 miles north of the turn off.

Find the location: Copy the coordinates below. Open Google Earth, paste the coordinates into "Fly To" and click on the magnifying glass.

Equipment:  EOS D30 with 20-35 lens and polarizer. ISO 100 at f 22 and 1/20 second.

Digital imaging/manipulation: Three pictures stitched in Photoshop CS2 and a small amount of  artifact removed.

Notes:  This is called the Paria Townsite. The movie set for Outlaw Josey Wales was burned to the ground a few years ago. The picture is of Kaiparowits Plateau where there is a good deal of archiologic activity these days. Best time for pictures is afternoon/evening as the plateau is facing west.
