Location: Tuolome Meadows, Yosemite National Park, California.

Equipment: Canon EOS 1 28-85 plus polarizing lens. Velvia transparency ISO 50.

Digital imaging/manipulation:  Image scanned with Minolta Dimage Scan Multi PRO at 4800 dpi.  Emulsion artifact removed.

Notes: This area closes in winter. Throughout the year it is less visited than Yosemite Valley. The attractions aren't packed as close together as in the valley but hiking trails abound. The road through this area takes you over to Mono Lake on the east side of the park.
