Bay Bridge
Location: This was taken of the San Francisco skyline through the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. It was shot from Treasure Island in the early 80s. At that time there was a permit system that was strictly enforced. Find the location: Copy the coordinates below. Open Google Earth, paste the coordinates into "Fly To" and click on the magnifying glass. 37° 49' 16.55" N Equipment: Hasselblad C501 with 50 mm lens and polarizing filter. Velvia transparency film, ISO 50. Digital imaging/manipulation: Image scanned with Minolta Dimage Scan Multi PRO at 4800 dpi. Emulsion artifact removed. Color adjusted Notes: It was said that the recent eruption of Mt. St. Helen's Volcano enhanced the color of the sunset. Since it had been a few years, I don't know how long that effect lasts. Information regarding permits for this area may be found at: http://www.sfgov.org/site/uploadedfiles/treasureisland/MASTERFILMPACKET-2007.pdf |
