Bay Bridge Sunset

Equipment:  This was taken of the San Francisco skyline through the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. It was shot from Treasure Island in the early 80s. At that time there was a permit system that was strictly enforced.

Find the location: Copy the coordinates below. Open Google Earth, paste the coordinates into "Fly To" and click on the magnifying glass.

Equipment:  Hasselblad C501 with 50 mm lens and polarizing filter.  Velvia transparency film, ISO 50.

Digital imaging/manipulation:  Image scanned with Minolta Dimage Scan Multi PRO at 4800 dpi.  Emulsion artifact removed. Color adjusted

Notes: It was said that the recent eruption of Mt. St. Helen's Volcano enhanced the color of the sunset. Since it had been a few years, I don't know how long that effect lasts. Information regarding permits for this area may be found at:
