Yosemite Panorama

Location: Yosemite National Park. Heading south on Highway 120 toward Yosemite Valley the highway gets close enough to the mountain's edge to give this view. I recall we were around 5000 feet elevation so I have estimated the coordinates below. The place along the higway is a few miles before the turn off to Tuolumne Meadows, as best I can recall.

Find the location: Copy the coordinates below. Open Google Earth, paste the coordinates into "Fly To" and click on the magnifying glass.

Equipment: Canon EOS 1 with 25-85 lens and polarizing filter. Velvia ISO 50 film.

Digital imaging/manipulation: Image scanned with Minolta Dimage Scan Multi PRO at 4800 dpi.  Emulsion artifact removed. Two shots were stitched together in Photoshop CS.

Notes: This was taken as we were about to descend into Yosemite Valley.
